Overview

Resident Scholars Program

Overview: The Resident Scholars Program provides mentoring and educational opportunities during the final two years of obstetrics and gynecology residency. The program was made possible by grateful trainees, colleagues, friends, and family of Dr. Edward (Ted) Quilligan in honor of his transformational contributions to training, mentorship, and leadership in maternal-fetal medicine.

Eligibility:

  • PGY-3 OB/GYN residents

  • PGY-4 in Canada
  • Award Details:

  • Recipients: 8 per year

  • Award Includes:

  • - Stipend to attend two SMFM Pregnancy Meetings
    - Virtual biostatistics course
    - Mentoring and educational opportunities
  • Sponsorship Requirement: Residency institutions sponsor Scholars with a one-time $1,000 tuition payment to the Foundation for SMFM upon selection
  • Duration: Final two years of residency
