Regional Impact Grants: Preston Community Fund

The Preston Community Fund, part of the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut, provides grants to support arts, culture, and social needs of Preston residents. It prioritizes projects that promote equity and social justice, encouraging collaboration with 501(c)(3) organizations and governmental agencies. Applicants must be charitable organizations or schools, and grants are not available for individuals or for-profit endeavors. The fund aims to foster innovative programs that benefit the community.

NOTE: We encourage all applicants to contact program staff with questions or to discuss your ideas prior to starting an application. New applicant organizations are required to contact us first in order for their application to be considered.
Our regional grant opportunities are based on donor intent and link with our strategic priorities. Each is focused on a particular geographic area.
Programs that promote racial equity, contribute to movement building, and seek to change inequitable systems through advocacy will be a priority.
The Preston Community Fund accepts applications for the purpose of supporting the arts, cultural and social needs of the residents and organizations of the Town of Preston, Connecticut. The Fund supports the development of innovative and imaginative programs, projects and services in cooperation with 501(C)(3) nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies and programs for the exclusive benefit of Preston residents, organizations, programs, projects or services.

Eligibility

Applicants must be 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, schools, municipal or governmental agencies, or partner with a nonprofit fiscal agent.

Ineligibility

We do not make grants to individuals or to for-profit endeavors.We do not provide funding for capital or endowment campaigns, litigation costs, religious programming, endowment campaigns, deficit funding or debt retirement. We do not typically make grants for special events. Applicants may not discriminate against any person or group of persons on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, disability, marital status or any other characteristic protected under federal, state and/or local laws.
