Overview

For over 100 years, The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC) has been supporting the philanthropic interests of donors who want to effect change in their communities. Scholarships It is through the generosity of local individuals, families, and businesses that we are able to offer more than 190 scholarship opportunities. TFEC is the largest provider of scholarships in South Central, Pennsylvania, awarding over $1.7 million in scholarships to more than 400 local students alone through various scholarship funds administered by TFEC and through management agreements with the Samuel L. Abrams Foundation, the Leon Lowengard and Ray S. Shoemaker scholarships of BNY Mellon, N.A. and York Rotary Club. Ray S. Shoemaker Scholarship The Ray S. Shoemaker Scholarship has been established to memorialize the late Ray S. Shoemaker. Renewability Recipients of this scholarship may apply again.

Eligibility

This includes Harrisburg High School, SciTech High School, Dauphin County Technical School, Capital Area School for the Arts Charter School (CASA), Steelton-Highspire School District, Susquehanna Township School District, Central Dauphin High School, and Central Dauphin East High School Must be an undergraduate student Must attend college on a full-time basis (12 or more credits) Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and maintain it throughout college in order to receive payments Financial need
