Overview: Program launched in 2024 to support nonprofits in advancing their organization's engagement in racial justice, equity, and inclusion.

Organizational racial equity plans

Culture change and operational equity

Eligibility:

Organizations that have already started their journey to racial justice, equity, and inclusion

Organizations fully committed to advancing racial equity work

Nonprofit organizations in Pittsburgh region

Program Components:

Work with Equity in the Center staff

Development of organization's own Race Equity Plan following Awake to Woke to Work framework

Assessment of progress on key indicators using Race Equity Cycle Pulse Check™

Creation of action plan for implementing changes

Three full-cohort meetings

Four coaching sessions with Equity in the Center staff

Virtual facilitation

Participant Requirements:

Each organization selects a leadership team of at least four people to guide organizational process

Current Cohort: Ten nonprofits involved (as of 2024)

Framework Used: Awake to Woke to Work (AWW) - Race Equity Culture™ framework developed by Equity in the Center with over 120 experts in DEI and race equity fields
