Overview

Every year, the RiverCenter in downtown Davenport, IA hosts the Quad City Regional Auto Show. The goal of the Auto Show is to promote family togetherness, introduce new makes and models of vehicles, and recognize local students who plan to pursue higher education. Proceeds raised from the Auto Show go toward the distribution of scholarships. The Quad City Regional Auto Show Scholarship was established several years ago and is awarded to individuals that are employed themselves, or have a parent or guardian employed at an auto dealership within the Quad Cities area. The Quad City Regional Auto Show’s Charitable Giving Fund assists in awarding scholarships. This fund helps distribute the scholarships to deserving students and helps to lessen the financial burden of paying for college. All applicants must reside in one of the following counties:Illinois Counties: Bureau, Carroll, Henderson, Henry, Jo Davies, Knox, Mercer, Rock Island, Warren, Whiteside Iowa Counties: Cedar, Clinton, Des Moines, Henry, Jackson, Louisa, Muscatine, ScottQuad City Regional Auto Show College/University ScholarshipApplicant must attend or plan to attend a two or four-year College or University.Applicant must meet one of the following requirements:A parent, guardian, or grandparent is currently working full-time at a New Car Dealership for more than one year. Step-children and step-grandchildren are eligible, ORThe applicant is currently working full or part-time at a New Car Dealership for more than one year.Applicant must not have previously received an Auto Show Scholarship.The applicants' participation in extracurricular activities, community service, work experience and academic achievement.Academic achievement is secondary to the essay, school activities, community activities and work history.Quad City Regional Auto Show Automotive/Technical Trade School ScholarshipApplicant must attend or plan to attend Automotive Technical/Trade School.Applicant must not have previously received an Auto Show Scholarship.
