Overview

What We Support Schools To assist with the financing of any educational programs maintained by a North Carolina public or private school exempt from taxation. This includes elementary, middle and high schools as well as colleges and universities. Assistance can also be provided for extra-cirricular activities such as band, choral, athletic and art programs. Religious To provide grants to any church or religious institution exempt from taxation. Monies can be used for building projects, media systems or other ministries. Recreational or Educational To augment governmental funding of, or to otherwise finance recreational or educational facilities such as museums, libraries or medical facilities open to public use within North Carolina. Emergency Grant On rare occasions the Board will consider emergency grant requests, although the criteria are strict. If your organization is facing an unforeseen, critical, human need that will result in a disruption of services if emergency funding is not secured, then please carefully read the emergency request instruction letter linked here. Emergency funding is defined as critical, unplanned, short-term needs of non-profit agencies addressing critical human needs. Through this process, agencies are able to receive funding to ensure that service to their clients continues without interruption.
