Presidential Scholars Award

Funder: SUNY Potsdam College Foundation Inc (Lougheed Center for Applied Learning)

Students who have demonstrated exceptional talents and leadership skills may apply for grant money to fund special projects.

Eligibility

• Students with demonstrated exceptional talents
• Students with demonstrated leadership skills
• Students proposing special projects

Funding Support

• Grant funding for special projects
• Faculty mentors receive $200 of faculty development funds per mentor per term per student mentee, up to a limit of $750 per term
• Funds drawn from Presidential Scholars endowment

Review Timeline

Funding requests are reviewed quarterly in March, June, September, and December.

Applications use the single application form shared with other Applied Learning Grants.

Required Information

• Project lead and contact information
• Project details (name, dates, populations impacted)
• Project description
• Faculty and student outcome statements
• Strategic goals alignment
• Funding amount requested

Submission Details

• Allow at least 6 weeks for committee review
• Quarterly review cycles: March, June, September, December
