Prairie Ronde Artist Residency Grant

The Prairie Ronde Artist Residency offers a unique opportunity for artists to engage creatively with The Mill at Vicksburg in Michigan. This 5-6 week residency, which includes a stipend, travel grant, and private housing, fosters independent exploration across various disciplines. With three sessions annually, artists are encouraged to produce work inspired by the mill's rich history and surroundings, contributing to a permanent collection while sharing their creations with the community.

NOTE: As of April 15, we are temporarily suspending our consideration of international applicants. There is a $25 fee to apply.

Prairie Ronde is hosted by The Mill at Vicksburg, a redevelopment project of the former Lee Paper Company mill, in the historic village of Vicksburg, Michigan.
What We Expect
Prairie Ronde is a process-based residency.
Funding
Accepted residents receive a stipend of $2,000 for 5 – 6 weeks, a $500 travel grant and private housing.

Eligibility

The goal of our residency is to bring artists who will engage directly with The Mill in the creation of their work.We have accepted writers who are open to creating new works that are directly related to The Mill and the surrounding area of Vicksburg.
