Postdoctoral Fellowship in Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH)

Program Description:
The postdoctoral fellowship is designed to provide in-depth training in the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model. Fellows serve as Behavioral Health Consultants (BHCs) embedded within the primary care team, managing behavioral and biopsychosocial health issues while providing same-day, high-volume services to patients of all ages.
- Manage behavioral and biopsychosocial health issues
- Provide same-day, high-volume services to patients of all ages
- Collaborate closely with primary care providers
- Improve assessments and care coordination
- Enhance overall team efficiency
- Educate the team on biopsychosocial approaches
- Make integrated behavioral health a routine part of care
Key Responsibilities
- Education: PsyD or PhD in psychology
- License Status: Postdoctoral level (doctorate completed)
- Experience: Experience with primary care behavioral health or integrated care preferred (not required)
Eligibility Requirements
- Application Deadline: January 1 (rolling year-round, but deadline for each fellowship year is January 1)
- Offer Notification: No later than February 24 of the fellowship year
- Interview: Virtual interviews offered; in-person visits encouraged with travel assistance
