Phyllis Kosiorek Cordner and Roy R. Cordner Scholarship Fund Grant

The Phyllis Kosiorek Cordner and Roy R. Cordner Scholarship Fund, established by Roy Cordner in memory of his wife, supports 3-5 graduating high school seniors from Rockville, Manchester, and East Catholic High Schools in Connecticut. The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving administers this fund, offering financial assistance to students attending accredited colleges in the U.S. This initiative has contributed significantly to the educational pursuits of local students since its inception.

About the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving
Over the years, individuals and families have donated money to the Foundation, creating an endowment. From the endowment, the Foundation makes grants to a broad range of nonprofit organizations in the region.

Phyllis Kosiorek Cordner and Roy R. Cordner Scholarship Fund
When Roy Cordner of Vernon died in 1980, his will established a scholarship fund in his name and the name of his late wife, Phyllis Kosiorek Cordner. The awards from the Cordner Fund are made to graduates of Rockville, Manchester and East Catholic high schools.

Eligibility

Selection CriteriaGraduating high school seniors from Rockville High School, Manchester High School and East Catholic High School, Manchester, CT.
Attending an accredited college/university located in the United States on a full-time basis.
Have financial need.
