About the Scholarship Program Since 1945, The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving Scholarship Program has awarded nearly $30 million to students attending colleges in Connecticut and across the country. The Hartford Foundation Scholarship Program helps award hundreds of scholarships each year to local students seeking post-secondary higher education. Your Chance Scholarship Fund This scholarship fund was established to supports students who live in the Greater Hartford region, with preference given to those who reside in Bloomfield, have graduated from high school and may have taken college courses but did not graduate with a degree, and, have had their college studies interrupted, by growing families or financial difficulties.
