Westhaysen Medical Education Scholarship Scholarships are available for post-secondary undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students pursuing a degree to become a physician or nurse at an accredited university. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist the student with the costs of tuition, fees, and books. The Advisory Committee consider two basic criteria: academic achievement and financial need.

Applicant Criteria:Must be a permanent resident of the Lake County Indiana.Must show outstanding scholastic ability.Demonstrate financial need.Medical Students: Enrolled in full-time post graduate program for training as a medical doctor. Nursing Students:Enrolled in full-time Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing program. Must be at least in the second year of a nursing program to apply.
