Overview

Note: The Board of Peacock Foundation, Inc. meets four times per year to review grant proposals and evaluation reports. There is no deadline for inquiries. The letter of inquiry must be by U.S. Mail. The Foundation’s small staff is unable to respond to letters of inquiry by telephone or e-mail. After initial staff review of eligibility and merit, an invitation letter is mailed with a specific deadline for full online proposal submission. Peacock Foundation, Inc. enhances and promotes the good health and  well-being of South Florida’s children and families. Founded in 1947, Peacock Foundation, Inc.’s mission is to enhance and promote the good health and well-being of children and families through contributions, gifts, and grants to eligible nonprofit organizations located in and/or of significant benefit primarily to residents of Miami-Dade County. Peacock Foundation, Inc. supports specific projects and general operations in these interest areas: Human Services Education Health Children/Youth Elderly People with Disabilities Arts for Educational Purposes Environmental Education The Board of Peacock Foundation, Inc. meets four times per year to review grant proposals and evaluation reports. It is only through strong partnerships with our grantees that Peacock Foundation, Inc. may accomplish its mission to serve our beloved community. Working together in relationships of trust ensures the achievement of our shared goals. Although multi-year grants are made in special cases, our support should not be viewed as a continuing source of funds. The Foundation receives many more requests than available funds to distribute in any one fiscal year.

Eligibility

Ineligibility

Peacock Foundation, Inc. does not fund:capital campaigns, construction, or renovation projectsdeficit financing or debt reductionconferences or festivalsfundraising events or advertisingspecial events or athletic eventsindividualslobbying to influence legislationreligious organizations, unless engaged in a significant project benefiting the entire community.
