    How to Apply

    Application Process

    Mandatory Steps:
    1. Confirm Eligibility: Verify income requirements are met
    2. Register for Palm Beach County Orientation: Go online to https://survey.pbcgov.com/s3/HED-Registration to pre-register for mandatory virtual orientation
    3. Attend PBC Mandatory Orientation: Attend 1.5-hour virtual session (provides overview of online application process, required documents, program description, housing counseling agencies, and step-by-step review of overall process)
    4. Obtain First Mortgage Pre-Approval: Secure pre-approval from lender BEFORE submitting application
    5. Submit Online Application: Complete and submit application through Palm Beach County's online portal during the application period

    Requirements:

  • First Mortgage Pre-Approval: ALL applicants MUST have this before application submittal

  • Pre-registration deadline: Must register before 3 p.m. on the day before the final orientation session

  • Typically open for approximately 2 weeks
