Program Description:
Palliative Care is an interdisciplinary medical specialty that focuses on preventing and relieving suffering and supporting the best possible quality of life for patients and their families facing serious illness. It is a patient and family-centered approach to care, focusing on expert management of pain and other symptoms.

The team may include specialized physicians, nurses, counselors and chaplains working together with the patient, family and caregivers to relieve suffering in all stages of disease and is not limited to end of life care.

  • 2020 Award: $60,000

  • 2026 Award: $100,000
  • Grant Purpose:
    Grant funding ensures the palliative care team remains fully dedicated to caring for the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of patients.
