Outstanding Diversity Advancement Award

The Outstanding Diversity Advancement Award recognizes MOCPA members who are working to promote diversity and inclusion within the CPA profession.

Geographic Scope: Missouri (MOCPA members)

Focus Areas:
The award recognizes CPAs who:

• Make creative and dedicated contributions toward advancing diversity in the profession with demonstrated impact
• Utilize available channels to promote diversity efforts, such as volunteer work, firm/corporate initiatives, or educational programs
• Encourage students and professionals of diverse backgrounds to explore the CPA profession, major in accounting, or pursue the CPA designation
• Assist in retention and career advancement of diverse professionals

Eligibility:

• Must be a MOCPA member

Recognition:

• Winners are recognized at MOCPA Awards Celebrations in November
• Winners are highlighted in The ASSET magazine

Nomination Process

1. Complete Nomination Form: Fill out the Wufoo nomination form on the award page
2. Write Narrative: Demonstrate how the candidate's experience and accomplishments align with each (or most) of the outlined award criteria. Be thorough and give specific examples addressing:
   • Creative and dedicated contributions to advancing diversity
   • Use of channels to promote diversity efforts
   • Efforts to encourage diverse students and professionals
   • Assistance in retention and career advancement of diverse professionals
3. Submit Supporting Materials: Submit résumé and/or bio to Dena Hull at dhull@mocpa.org
4. Confirmation: You will receive an email confirming receipt within one or two business days. If you don't receive confirmation, contact MOCPA to ensure receipt.
