Outstanding Visionary Award

Overview: The Outstanding Visionary Award recognizes the achievements of MOCPA members in public practice or business and industry who are working to advance the CPA profession.

Geographic Scope: Missouri (MOCPA members)

Focus Areas:
The award honors CPAs who:

  • Actively work to enhance the future of the profession through efforts to advance inclusion, mentor other professionals, or create opportunities for professional development

  • Implement innovative company initiatives, technological solutions, or client service tactics that contribute to advancement of their company, firm, or clients

  • Lead by example and commitment within their organization and the profession

  • Exhibit foresight, understand the profession beyond the numbers, and seek to promote its goodwill

    • Eligibility:

  • Must be a MOCPA member

  • Working in public practice or business and industry

    • Recognition:

  • Winners are recognized at MOCPA Awards Celebrations in November

  • Winners are highlighted in The ASSET magazine

  • 2025 winner: Kimberly Church, Ph.D., Missouri State University

    How to Apply

    Nomination Process

    1. Complete Nomination Form: Fill out the Wufoo nomination form on the award page
    2. Write Narrative: Demonstrate how the candidate's experience and accomplishments align with the spirit of the award (why they deserve to be honored). Be thorough and provide specific examples.
    3. Submit Supporting Materials: Submit résumé and/or bio to Jill Zeller at jzeller@mocpa.org
    4. Confirmation: You will receive an email confirming receipt within a few business days. If you don't receive confirmation, contact MOCPA to ensure receipt.
