Outside Entity Funding (OEF)

Overview: NSEDC's Outside Entity Funding program provides grants to organizations and entities to improve quality of life and encourage economic development in member communities.

Eligibility:

Municipal and tribal governments

Local and regional nonprofit organizations

Local, state, or federal agencies

All must be located in NSEDC member communities

Geographic Scope:

NSEDC's 15 member communities in the Bering Strait region of Northwestern Alaska

Regional projects also eligible

Funding Allocation:

$60,000 per member community annually (90% of program funds)

$100,000 (10% of program funds) for regional scope projects and programs

Additional consideration for fisheries-related projects through NSEDC's internal budget process
