Overview
Funder: Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (RACVB) in partnership with Rockford Area Arts Council (RAAC) and Rockford Art Deli
The Our Journey Micro-Grant Program was designed to benefit artists and art organizations by awarding funding allocations of up to $500 for artistic endeavors throughout the Rockford region. The program was developed as an extension of a partnership with Rockford Art Deli's #HereForGoodRKFD campaign.
Geographic Scope: Winnebago County, Illinois; Rockford region
Eligible Applicants:
- Local artists
- Arts organizations
- Creative individuals and groups
Eligible Project Types:
- Videography projects
- Music education programs
- Live performance work
- Online and distance learning programs
- Arts-based community projects
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants should be creative
- Demonstrate love for Winnebago County
- Celebrate all the community has to offer
- Projects should support recovery and community resilience
Funding Source: Initial funding seeded by sales of Rockford-themed masks and t-shirts
Program History: Launched in early May 2020; first round awarded $2,200 total across five recipients
