Texas Education Agency The Texas Education Agency is the state agency that oversees primary and secondary public education. It is headed by the commissioner of education. The Texas Education Agency improves outcomes for all public school students in the state by providing leadership, guidance, and support to school systems. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) administers federal and state grant awards to its subgrantees to carry out a program. Such entities include primarily school systems (referred to as local educational agencies [LEAs] in statutes), including independent school districts and charter schools; education service centers (ESCs); and, to a lesser degree, institutions of higher education (IHEs), nonprofit organizations (NPOs), and other statutorily allowable organizations. 2025-2028 OER HQIM Embedded - Assessment Ingestion Program Description The Texas Education Agency (TEA) seeks to award a 2025-2028 OER HQIM Embedded-Assessment Ingestion grant to Education Service Center (ESC) Regions 7 and 10 to facilitate the continuing update of two assessment platforms to incorporate the embedded assessments from TEA-provided Open Education Resource (OER) High Quality Instructional Materials. Platforms will be used by districts using the OER HQIM materials to administer assessments or to enter student assessment data to create reports and conduct student data analysis. School Systems will be able to use the data to improve student outcomes. This grant will be used for the production and maintenance of embedded-assessment data and materials that will be used/put in production in the 2025-2026, 2026-2027, and 2027-2028 school years.Eligibility
