North Sound Health Equity Scholarship
Purpose: Support students of color who are dedicated to improving health equity within the community and are becoming health care professionals in Whatcom, Skagit, Island, and San Juan counties.

Award History: Since inception in 2021, 23 scholars have received scholarships totaling nearly $79,000.

Focus: Breaking down financial barriers and creating opportunities to shift the landscape of care by investing in the next generation of care providers with diverse backgrounds.

Matching Funds: PeaceHealth is offering a generous matching donation of up to $25,000 to support the scholarship's growth.
Founding Organizations: Originated from the first annual North Sound Race and Health Equity Conference in 2020, organized by medical professionals from Family Care Network.
