Focus: Supporting every child getting a healthy start and/or every person receiving the care they need throughout their lifetime.

Award Amount: Estimated $40,000 per award (Board discretion for additional amounts)

Number of Awards: The Foundation anticipates awarding two major grants totaling $40,000 each in this category, though reviewers have discretion to make final funding package decisions.

Geographic Scope: Whatcom County, Washington

Eligibility: Community-led organizations advancing the bold vision of building a vibrant community where every child gets a healthy start and every person receives the care they need throughout their lifetime.

Focus Areas: Organizations working in early childhood, aging & older adults, youth mental health, opioid epidemic response, health equity, and health care access.

What They Fund: Innovative and responsive solutions that change conditions and context for health in the community, meeting critical needs.

Background: To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Chuckanut Health Foundation, the Board of Directors and Leadership Team created this special round of major grants recognizing community-led organizations advancing the foundation's vision.
