Overview: The National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association Alumni, Inc. (NIRAA) awards scholarships annually to college rodeo competitors at the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR).

Geographic Scope: United States - open to NIRA members from all regions

Award Categories:

Fourth Place Men's Team: $1,000 - $1,500

Fourth Place Women's Team: $500 - $1,000

Rookie of the Year (each event): $500

All Around Rookie Cowboy: $500

All Around Rookie Cowgirl: $500

Go Round Winners (each round, each event): $500

Event Champions: $1,000

Stan Harter Memorial Scholarship: $1,000

Jerry Beagley All Around Cowboy Award: $500 - $1,000

Hardship Scholarships: $500

Total Awarded: $30,000 (2019), $35,000 (2020 rolled into 2021), $42,500 (2021), $11,500 (2018), $10,500 (2017)

Eligibility:

Must be a NIRA member

Must compete at the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR)

Competing in one of ten rodeo events: Bareback Riding, Calf Roping/Tie-Down Roping, Breakaway Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Goat Tying, Team Roping (Header/Heeler), Barrel Racing, Bull Riding

Focus Areas: Support for college rodeo athletes pursuing higher education
