Summary
The Nike Community Impact Fund in the Netherlands aims to empower local organizations in Amsterdam, Amersfoort, Hilversum, and Utrecht by providing grants to initiatives that promote physical activity among underserved communities. The fund focuses on enhancing social inclusion and health benefits through sports, particularly for marginalized groups, including girls and children with disabilities. By fostering active and inclusive environments, Nike seeks to create lasting change and improve opportunities for play and sport for all kids.Overview
Nike Community Impact Fund At Nike, we’re taking action to create a better world by investing in more active, inclusive communities, starting with the cities where we live, work and operate. A big part of how we bring that to life is through the Nike Community Impact Fund (NCIF), an employee-led, neighborhood-focused approach to supporting local community organizations around the world to drive positive, lasting change and make play possible for all kids. Here’s how NCIF works: Local organizations in the communities apply for grants per below. A volunteer committee of Nike teammates — from stores, offices, logistic centers, Air Manufacturing and Innovation — is trained on how to assess grant applications. Each member of the Nike volunteer committee shares their local insights to play a leading role in deciding which organizations receive funding. (In our Community Unite Stores, all store athletes have an opportunity to weigh in on the final grantees.) Nike Community Impact Fund The Netherlands Social Justice and Poverty Create stronger communities in the Netherlands through the power of sport If your organization delivers projects in Amsterdam, Amersfoort, Hilversum or Utrecht with the aim of helping the underserved communities to become more physically active, we can support you with a grant. Today's physical inactivity disproportionately impacts those in the most underserved and underrepresented communities. People from marginalized backgrounds - as well as girls and kids with different abilities - face even more challenges to participating in play and sport and have fewer opportunities to do so. However, we know that sport and physical activity have a positive impact on social inclusion, health and also contribute to individuals' self -confidence and social skills. That’s why the Nike Community Impact Fund (NCIF) provides financial support to local programs and grassroots organizations that promote active and inclusive communities in the Netherlands. If you have a project that delivers sports, play and physical activity, to the most vulnerable groups in the communities of Amsterdam, Utrecht, Hilversum and Amersfoort, send us your application!Eligibility
