Next Step Fund
Funder: Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (MRAC)
Geographic Scope: Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, or Washington counties in Minnesota
Funding Amount: Up to $6,000
Applicant Type: Individual artists
Purpose: Provides funding for proposals that would help artists sustain the trajectory of their artistic career, overcome a barrier to success, and/or leverage a beneficial career opportunity.
- Applicants may be at any stage in their career
- Must be able to provide work samples of their own original art
Eligibility
- Black, Indigenous, or people of color (BIPOC)
- People with disabilities
- Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ+) individuals
- All applicants from Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Scott, and Washington counties
