Funder: Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (MRAC)

Geographic Scope: Minnesota (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, or Washington counties)

Funding Amount: Up to $5,000

Applicant Type: Individual artists

Purpose: Provides funding for artistic proposals led by individual artists that focus on creating access to the arts for Minnesotans and/or engaging with Minnesota communities through artistic endeavors.

Qualifying Proposal Focus Areas

Proposals must accomplish one or more of the following:
• Connect Minnesotans with arts and cultural experiences
• Integrate artists and/or artistic engagement to accomplish a community's non-arts goals
• Provide Minnesotans with opportunities for arts learning
• Pass along expressive cultural traditions

Priority Communities

MRAC sets aside a portion of funds to support:
• Black, Indigenous, or people of color (BIPOC)
• People with disabilities
• Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ+) individuals
• All applicants from Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Scott, and Washington counties
