New Ulm Area Foundation Scholarship (General)
Overview: This scholarship originated from the former Dollars for Scholars program and is awarded annually to students from the four high schools within the ISD 88 geographic area.
Geographic Scope: ISD 88 area students only
Participating Schools:
Application Process: Apply through your high school counselor
School-Specific Criteria:
- Minimum 2.0 GPA
- Must attend post-secondary institution
- Must demonstrate financial need
New Ulm High School
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must attend post-secondary institution
- Involvement in extracurricular activities required
Cathedral High School
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must attend post-secondary institution
- Involvement in extracurricular activities for more than one year
- Must prepare statement to submit with application
- Counselors select based on citizenship value
Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School
- Minimum 2.0 GPA
- Must attend post-secondary or career and technical institution within 2 years of graduation
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Essay required describing graduate's plans and school they will attend
