New Ulm Area Foundation Scholarship (General)

Overview: This scholarship originated from the former Dollars for Scholars program and is awarded annually to students from the four high schools within the ISD 88 geographic area.

Geographic Scope: ISD 88 area students only

Participating Schools:

  • New Ulm High School

  • Cathedral High School

  • Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School

  • River Bend Area Learning Center
  • Application Process: Apply through your high school counselor

    School-Specific Criteria:

      New Ulm High School

    • Minimum 2.0 GPA
    • Must attend post-secondary institution
    • Must demonstrate financial need

      Cathedral High School

    • Minimum 3.0 GPA
    • Must attend post-secondary institution
    • Involvement in extracurricular activities required

      Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School

    • Minimum 3.0 GPA
    • Must attend post-secondary institution
    • Involvement in extracurricular activities for more than one year
    • Must prepare statement to submit with application
    • Counselors select based on citizenship value

      River Bend Area Learning Center

    • Minimum 2.0 GPA
    • Must attend post-secondary or career and technical institution within 2 years of graduation
    • Must demonstrate financial need
    • Essay required describing graduate's plans and school they will attend
