Kathleen 'Kitty' Bartl Memorial Scholarship

Background: Kathleen "Kitty" Bartl was a 1942 graduate of New Ulm High School. She married Dr. Harvey O'Phelan, and they had a happy life together until she died in 1990. Dr. O'Phelan established this scholarship fund in her memory through a donation to The New Ulm Community Fund (predecessor to NUAF).

Eligibility:

  • New Ulm High School graduates

  • Good academic standing (not necessarily top student)

  • Involvement in extracurricular activities such as sports, drama, or music
