Charlotte Raymond Anderson Teaching Scholarship
Award Amount: $5,000 per recipient
Purpose: To provide financial assistance for people with the sincere desire to attain the highest degree of proficiency in teaching

About the Scholarship: The Charlotte Raymond Anderson Teaching Scholarship (CRATS) was established in late 2019. Charlotte Raymond Anderson chose the New Ulm Area Foundation to manage the fund and selection process because of her lifelong passion for education and teaching. She wanted to support people interested in pursuing excellence in the teaching field.
Application Timeline: Applications available starting February 15th each year
Selection Process: Rigorous selection including:
Recent Recipient: Kincaid Diersen (2020) - Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School senior with 3.976 GPA, planning to attend Martin Luther College for Science Education (Life Science and Chemistry majors)
