Overview

NOTE: The Foundation will review requests monthly, but there is no deadline to submit and there is no designated date on which the Foundation makes funding decisions. This is a rolling process throughout the year. If your organization receives funds, we will contact you directly. Albuquerque Community Foundation At Albuquerque Community Foundation, we administer a permanent community endowment composed of many gifts, both large and small. We use the earnings from that endowment to make grants to other nonprofit organizations and educational institutions in the greater Albuquerque area. We are concerned with all aspects of community well-being and partner with donors, funders, leadership groups and nonprofits to build a vibrant future for the community. Our grantmaking efforts are focused on the following fields of interest: Animal WelfareArts & CultureEconomic & Workforce DevelopmentEducationEnvironmental & Historic PreservationHealthHuman Services Since our establishment in 1981, over $74 million has been granted to nonprofits that serve Albuquerque. The community endowment we manage will exist in perpetuity to support Albuquerque’s future forever. Need To Know Grants Need to Know grants provide an opportunity for nonprofits to submit rolling grant requests throughout the year. By submitting these requests, your organization can keep us informed of new programs or ongoing funding needs throughout the year. If your organization submitted a grant application in the Annual Grant Cycle and was not selected, it will rollover into a Need to Know grant. While grants may vary in size, we suggest you submit your requests in the $5,000 – $10,000 range.
