To assist States and territories in providing multifaceted systems of support services for: Family caregiversOlder relative caregivers Services to be provided include: Information to caregivers about available servicesAssistance to caregivers in gaining access to the servicesIndividual counseling, and caregiver training to caregivers to assist the caregivers in making decisions and solving Problems relating to their caregiving rolesRespite care to enable caregivers to be temporarily relieved from their caregiving responsibilitiesSupplemental services, on a limited basis, to complement the care provided by caregivers.
