Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity The mission of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) is to create equitable economic opportunities across the State of Illinois. By attracting and supporting major job creators, investing in communities, strengthening Illinois’ world-class workforce, fostering innovation, and ushering in the new clean energy economy, DCEO works to fortify Illinois’ reputation as a global economic powerhouse while ensuring Illinois is the best state to live, work and do business. MyCredits Transfer Description The MyCreditsTransfer Project is a statewide initiative that makes information available to students via a free web-based tool (Transferology), administered by the University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign. The MyCreditsTransfer Project seeks to aid all students who intend to transfer credits among Illinois higher education institutions. This tool aids students in determining how specific courses will transfer among over 50 receiving, public and private Illinois higher education institutions. All Illinois institutions participate as sending institutions. Students create personal accounts to track their progress toward specific degrees at the institution(s) they plan to attend. MyCreditsTransfer complements the Illinois Articulation Initiative which provides a broad framework of transfer options for students who do not know the college or university to which they intend to ultimately transfer. MyCreditsTransfer is one component of Growth Strategy 8 to strengthen the statewide, coordinated transfer system to ensure students have seamless paths to build on previous academic learning and earn postsecondary credentials. Approximately 200,000 unique users access the MyCreditsTransfer site annually. Awarding Agency Name: Board Of Higher Education. Expected Number of Awards: 1.Eligibility
