Award Amount: $5,000 annually

Eligibility

• Pre-doctoral dental students
• Demonstrated history of excellence in academics
• Demonstrated history of excellence in service activities in their communities
• Heart for service/charitable impact orientation
• Currently enrolled at University of Maryland School of Dentistry (UMSOD)

Purpose

The dental student scholarship helps community-minded dental students fund their education expenses and supports the education of today's charitable dental workforce to improve the public's oral health.

Partnership

This scholarship is awarded through a partnership between MSDA Foundation, R.K. Tongue Co., Inc., and PPP (Dentists Choice for Dentists). This partnership dates back to the 1950s.

Note on Funding

The MSDA Foundation is working to expand this scholarship fund and establish new ones. Donors can support the Scholarship Fund to increase the number and amounts of scholarships available.
