Application Process

1. Download and review the AAIDF Grant Guidelines Tool before starting the online application
2. Access the AAIDF Research Grants Application Portal to submit your application
3. Complete all required sections:
- Research proposal narrative
- Budget information
- Project timeline (specify if requesting up to 2-year period)

Required Materials

• AAIDF Grant Guidelines Tool (must download and review)
• AAIDF Grants Budget Disclosure and Proposal Form
• Research proposal with detailed description
• Budget breakdown
• Timeline for project completion

Budget Guidelines

Allowable Expenses:

Supplies

Small equipment purchases

Salary for technical and support personnel

Not Allowable:

Purchase of large pieces of equipment

Salary for the principal investigator and/or consultants

Indirect costs (administrative salaries, office supplies or equipment, laptops, general travel unless traveling to AAID conference to present)

Accounting and legal services
