Mount Prospect Lions Club Scholarship Program
Geographic Scope: Mount Prospect, Illinois residents only
Background: The Mount Prospect Lions Club offers scholarships through four named funds in honor of club members and past leaders, supporting the Lions Club International motto of "WE SERVE."
- George Gattas Scholarship - In memory of a Past President and former Educator at Prospect High School
- Tim Murphy Scholarship - In honor of former President and long-time Chairman of the Scholarship Committee
- Mount Prospect Lions Scholarship - In honor of all deceased members of the Mount Prospect Lions Club
- Bob & Judy Wille Scholarship - Acknowledging one of the founding families of Mount Prospect
Named Scholarship Awards
- Must be a Mount Prospect resident
- Current graduating high school senior
- Evidence of academic achievement (e.g., National Honor Society, Honor Roll)
- Accepted to an accredited institution (college or vocational school)
- Exhibited participation in community service and school activities
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet ALL of the following:- Winners will be notified by telephone
- Winners and their parents invited to Mount Prospect Lions Club Festival at Melas Park on July 4th for scholarship presentation
