Background: The Mount Prospect Lions Club offers scholarships through four named funds in honor of club members and past leaders, supporting the Lions Club International motto of "WE SERVE."

Named Scholarship Awards

George Gattas Scholarship - In memory of a Past President and former Educator at Prospect High School
Tim Murphy Scholarship - In honor of former President and long-time Chairman of the Scholarship Committee
Mount Prospect Lions Scholarship - In honor of all deceased members of the Mount Prospect Lions Club
Bob & Judy Wille Scholarship - Acknowledging one of the founding families of Mount Prospect

Eligibility Requirements

Must be a Mount Prospect resident
Current graduating high school senior
Evidence of academic achievement (e.g., National Honor Society, Honor Roll)
Accepted to an accredited institution (college or vocational school)
Exhibited participation in community service and school activities

Award Notification & Presentation

Winners will be notified by telephone
Winners and their parents invited to Mount Prospect Lions Club Festival at Melas Park on July 4th for scholarship presentation
