Morris Auto Parts 101 Scholarship Fund Grant

The Morris Auto Parts 101 Scholarship Fund, established by The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, supports motivated students in automotive trade programs in Philadelphia County. Celebrating 101 years, this fund enables students in grades 9-12 to participate in competitions like SkillsUSA. It aims to enhance skills in various automotive fields, fostering talent and opportunity for aspiring young mechanics. Through this initiative, TFEC promotes educational growth and community development in the region.

The Foundation for Enhancing Communities
The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC) is a community foundation serving South Central Pennsylvania with a mission to inspire giving, partner with donors to achieve their charitable goals, and strengthen local communities for current and future generations. Guided by core values of inclusion, stewardship, endurance, and integrity, TFEC invests in a broad range of community needs through grantmaking, donor-advised funds, nonprofit services, and regional initiatives. Its funding priorities include early childhood education, women and girls’ well-being, arts and culture, community development, health and human services, and other programs that advance equity and long-term community impact.
Morris Auto Parts, in honor of its 101st anniversary, has funded a scholarship for motivated students in automotive trade programs to participate in competitions such as SkillsUSA and other such competitions like it.

Eligibility

Students in grades 9-12 from high schools or technical schools in Philadelphia CountyStudents attending trade or technical schools in Philadelphia CountyStudents must live in Philadelphia CountyDesire to attend a county, state, regional or national competition (individual or team) such as SkillsUSA in automotive fields (paint & body, service, refinishing, maintenance, light repair)
