HomeBuilders Association Scholarship Fund The Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Harrisburg established its Scholarship Program in 1987.  Each year this Association awards 5-10 up to $2000 scholarships to local area youth based on academic factors, applicant performance and career goals, with extra consideration given to students furthering their education in the Building/Construction Industry and related fields such as Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, etc. These awards include the following named scholarships: the Howard C. Gale Excellence Scholarship, the Wayne Yohe Memorial Scholarship, the Dustin Lenker Memorial Scholarship, and the Garman Builders Phil Shatto Legacy Scholarship. The Association is an enthusiastic supporter of students preparing for the future work force in the Building Industry. The Garman Builders Phil Shatto Legacy Scholarship Will be awarded to a student who plans to enter a construction related field.
