Minnesota Job Skills Partnership: Short Form and Pre-Development Grant

The Minnesota Job Skills Partnership, managed by the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), offers pre-development grants to support planning for large-scale training projects. Aimed at enhancing workforce skills in high-demand sectors, these grants provide up to $50,000 for institutions to expand their training capacity. This initiative encourages collaboration between businesses and educational entities to address skill gaps and improve job opportunities across Minnesota.

RFP Objective
The Minnesota Job Skills Partnership (MJSP) Board is soliciting applications for grant funding for new and incumbent worker training programs.
Pre-Development Grants
Pre-Development grants assist in covering costs associated with planning a specific, large scale Partnership project. A pre-development grant must demonstrate that the project will address education and skills training for high-wage, high-growth, and high-skill occupations, businesses, and industries. In addition, a pre-development grant should demonstrate that the training institution will develop a significant amount of new capacity.
Funding
A Short-Form application is available for Partnership or Pathways grant requests of up to $50,000. The maximum grant award for Pre-Development grants is $50,000.
