Background: Essentia Health has a more than 20-year history of investing in communities across their service area. In FY23, Essentia Health contributed more than $1.7 million dollars to 140 non-profit organizations in the communities they serve.

Funding Priorities

Essentia Health prioritizes contributions to non-profit organizations working to address social determinants of health in four key priority areas:

  • Economic Stability (Housing, Workforce, Childcare, Healthy Food)
  • Access to Education and Healthy Youth Development (Reduction of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and asset building for youth)
  • Access to Right Time, Right Place Healthcare (Increase access to comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services)
  • Neighborhood Improvements that Promote Health and Safety (Neighborhood and environmental changes)

  • Non-profit organizations

Review Process

Requests for funding are reviewed on a rolling basis. Given the large volume of applications, applicants should allow at least 90 days for a response.
