Overview

Mini Grant Program

Overview: One of the primary ways the Bean Foundation accomplishes its mission by strategically directing resources through their mini grant program.

Geographic Scope: Jefferson County and/or Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs

Award Amount: Up to $10,000

Deadline Schedule: Bi-annual deadlines on the first Friday of March and October

    Selection Criteria

    Projects must meet ALL of the following criteria:
  • Alignment: Align with the Bean mission to improve the quality of life for children, families, and young adults
  • Geographic Focus: Serve communities of Jefferson County and/or Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs
  • Community Support: Exhibit community support through partnerships and/or letters of support
  • Financial Stewardship: Present evidence of strategic financial stewardship
  • Program Status: Exist as a program or project of the applicant
  • Tax-Exempt Status: Qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; able to provide proof of exemption
  • Deadline Compliance: Grant application must be received by the deadline
  • Request Amount: Grant request amount up to $10,000
  • Reporting History: Grant reports have been completed for any previous Bean grant awards
  • Guidelines Compliance: Request meets all other specified grant guidelines established by the Bean board

Who Can Apply: Any applicant requesting up to $10,000 and who meets the selection criteria outlined above

    Award Timeline

  • Award Notification: Grant award notices will be communicated to applicants within 90 days of deadline

    Reporting Requirements

  • Grant Reports: All grantees must submit a grant report within one year of receiving grant funds to remain eligible for consideration of future grant funding
  • Minimum Reporting: A minimum of one annual report is required for all grants, for each grant cycle
