NOTE: This Scholarship is by nomination only. Nominees will be selected by ASCAP representatives. The ASCAP Foundation We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, supported by contributions from ASCAP members and music fans throughout the United States. We operate and support vital programs that impact millions of music creators and music lovers of all ages every year. Leiber & Stoller Music Scholarship About The late Michael Masser, composer/producer of such classic songs as "The Greatest Love of All" and "Saving All My Love For You," established this scholarship to support the educational advancement, professional development, professional training and development of a student demonstrating outstanding talent in the arts.. The recipient is selected by a panel of music industry executives. Criteria Nominees will be judged by an independent committee comprised of individuals selected by the Foundation in its sole discretion, based on the following criteria: Demonstration of exemplary talent in music composition/performance (provide resume, bio and a sample of candidate’s work);Potential for a career in music; andExperience either: performing their instrument orhaving their compositions performed. To be eligible for consideration for the Scholarship, a nominee (each a “Nominee”) must:Be a student entering a college or university level music program; anddemonstrate outstanding talent in the arts (includes performance or composition).

Ineligibility

Void where prohibited by law and outside the fifty (50) United States and District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Judges of the Award or anyone involved in the Judging Procedure as set forth in the Award Requirements are not permitted to enter or win the Award. Employees, officers and directors of the Foundation, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, and any affiliated company, organization or entity, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate in the Award. For purpose of the foregoing, “immediate family” means parents, spouses, children, siblings or any members of the same households of such employees, officers and directors.
