The Mercer Vu Farms/Ron and Judy Hissong Scholarship for Agriculture Fund was set up in honor of Ron Hissong, a life-long dairy farmer, who along with his wife, established Mercer Vu Farms Inc.  The scholarship was setup by his wife Judy and their sons Rick and Rod to continue Ron’s passion for agriculture and giving back to his community.  This scholarship is for any student who resides in the Tuscarora School District and is continuing their education in agriculture or an agricultural related field.

Eligibility

Graduating high school senior residing in the Tuscarora School District or current college student who resides in or graduated from a high school in the Tuscarora School District Plans to attend a college, university, or trade school as a full-time or part-time studentPlans to pursue a field of study in Agriculture including Ag Business, Food Science, Animal Science, Ag Engineering, Ag Economics, Ag Education, Veterinary Science, Ag/Diesel Mechanics, Agronomy/Soil Sciences, Ag Law or other degrees as it relates to Agriculture Plans to attend a two- or four-year university or trade school as a full-time or part-time student  Financial NeedEssayRecipients of this scholarship may reapply any year for the duration of their studies (including up through a DVM degree).
