Overview:
Third component of MEF's 3-part grant funding structure. These discretionary grants are distributed directly to PTA and PTSA organizations to support initiatives identified by parent organizations in collaboration with school leadership. This shared decision-making process ensures MEF funding reflects the values and goals of the broader school community, including parents and donors.

Eligible Recipients:

  • PTA organizations at Nolan Elementary and Thrasher Elementary

  • PTSA organization at Signal Mountain Middle/High School
  • Use of Funds:
    Support initiatives identified by parent organizations in collaboration with school principals, which may include programs and resources to benefit students beyond public funding.

    Decision-Making Process:
    Shared decision-making between parent organizations and school leadership ensures funding reflects community values and goals. Each school's parent organization determines priorities for utilization.
