The Community Foundation of Shelby County Our Mission To inspire donor generosity and transform it into meaningful, lasting impact through charitable gifts. Our Vision To be the primary partner for donors who want to advance the community’s quality of life and capacity for excellence. Medical & Health Professions Scholarship Applicants must be pursuing a certificate or an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in medical and associated health professions. Selection based upon (in order of priority): Financial need, academic ability, community and school service, and recommendations. Awards Two $1,500 scholarships

Eligibility

Graduates of high schools within Shelby County or residents of any public school district within Shelby County, who are no less than one year removed from high school and have surpassed college freshman status with a grade point average of no less than 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or comparable standing if a different grade scale is in use). Individuals who have not been enrolled in high school or a post-secondary program within the last two years need not comply with this requirement.

Ineligibility

Doctoral degree students are not eligible.
