Martin Duffy Adult Learner Scholarship

Funder: International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Joint Council 32 (Minnesota) - Keegel Yates Teamsters Joint Council 32 Education Fund

Purpose: To support adult learners who are Teamster members themselves, honoring Martin Duffy's contributions to labor education.

Award Details:

  • Number of Awards: 2 scholarships annually

  • Award Amount: $1,000 per scholarship

  • Eligibility: Teamster Members themselves (not limited to high school students)
  • Named for

    Martin Duffy, a professor with the University of Minnesota Labor Education Service from 1960 through 1990. Professor Duffy was involved with labor union scholarship programs from the mid-1960s and the Teamsters high school scholarships until his retirement.
