Manning Family Foundation Since 2003, the Manning Family Foundation has been advancing health and healthy communities by awarding grants to exceptional nonprofit organizations. We proudly support innovation in two primary program areas: Health & Life Sciences Research and Local Giving. Local Giving We support groups in Charlottesville, Virginia that share our vision of a thriving community, one in which culture can flourish and families can prosper. Our focus in Charlottesville-area grants has been on organizations serving physical and mental health, providing educational and developmental opportunities for children, and promoting financial literacy. We place a particular emphasis on groups that serve at-risk youth and disadvantaged segments of our community, as well as those providing free physical and mental health services to people who otherwise could not afford them.
