Program Overview
MAFTO awards college scholarships to members' families. Since 2005, MAFTO has awarded 172 scholarships totaling $612,000. Winners are selected by the MAFTO Scholarship Committee based on academic success, overall excellence of character, and potential for community contributions and leadership.Geographic Scope
Mid-Atlantic region (PA, NJ, and surrounding states)- Applicant: Must be a child, stepchild, or grandchild of a qualified MAFTO member
- Member Status: Qualified MAFTO members must have been in the organization for at least one year and attended at least one event within the last 12 months
- Academic Level: Full-time returning college student as a sophomore, junior, or senior (first-year freshmen are NOT eligible)
- Previous Awards: You may receive this scholarship only once; repeat applications will be denied
- Non-Discrimination: Awards made without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, handicap, or sex

Selection Criteria
Award Disbursement
Scholarships are paid directly to the schools that the recipients attend.- The decision of the Scholarship Committee is final
- Applicants agree to accept the MAFTO Scholarship Committee's decision as final

2. College Advisor Recommendation Form (4MB limit)

4. Personal Essay (4MB limit)
- Topic: Explain who the most influential person has been in your life so far and how this person has affected your life
- Format: Typed, no more than 250 words
