Luling Foundation: Healthcare Scholarship Grant

The Luling Foundation's Healthcare Scholarship Grant offers $2,000 to students pursuing healthcare-related degrees at Texas colleges. This award is intended for residents of Caldwell, Gonzales, or Guadalupe Counties who demonstrate a solid academic and conduct record. The scholarship is non-renewable and will support students during their freshman year, requiring enrollment in at least twelve semester hours. Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, ensuring access to quality education in healthcare.

Background
The Luling Foundation was created by charter as an institution of charity and free public learning. It is governed by a seven member Board of Trustees. Caldwell, Gonzales, and Guadalupe Counties are each represented by two trustees, while the seventh trustee is at large. The Commissioner’s Court of each respective county elects the Board of Trustees. The Foundation strives to educate visitors through tours, hands on learning, workshops, and field days. The goal continues to be the advancement of agriculture regionally and worldwide.
This scholarship is in the amount of $2,000 to be dispersed over the Fall and Spring semesters of the student’s freshman year. It is not renewable. It will be rewarded to a student pursuing a healthcare (human health) related degree.

Eligibility

The applicant must:

• be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
• be a resident of Caldwell, Gonzales, or Guadalupe County
• have at least an average academic record
• have a good conduct record
• have a high school degree or equivalent
• attend a Texas college or university and participate in a curriculum leading to

a healthcare or healthcare related degree. Student must enroll in a minimum of twelve semester hours.
