Eligibility

• First-generation college students at Earlham College
• Automatic enrollment - all first-generation students are automatically enrolled

Program Components

• Duration: 10 weeks in fall semester
• Personal Research Librarian: Matched with a dedicated research librarian
• Information Literacy Instruction: One-credit tutorial
- 75 minutes per week for one session - Focuses on research and information literacy skills
• Funded Off-Campus Excursion:
- Fully funded domestic or international trip - Past destinations: Hawaii, Japan, and other locations - Small group experience with other LIFT participants

• Support first-generation student success
• Develop research and information literacy skills
• Provide global/cultural experiences at no cost to students
