  • First-generation college students
  • Enrolled at ICI member institutions (28 private, nonprofit colleges and universities in Indiana)
  • Demonstrate outstanding achievement while earning their degree

    Program Features

  • Approximately 28 students selected annually from across Indiana ICI institutions
  • Recognizes influential educators with $1,000 in professional development grants
  • First-generation students at Earlham are automatically enrolled in the LIFT program, which includes:
  • - Matching with a personal research librarian during 10 weeks of fall semester - One-credit tutorial in information literacy (75 minutes/week for one session) - Fully funded off-campus excursion to domestic or international location
